A popular family attraction is making a return to Blackpool after a three year break. Claremont Gala was last held in 2019 before being suspended due to the Covid pandemic.
But the event, including a procession, crowning of the gala queen and children’s rides are all back this Saturday (July 22). The procession will begin around 11am with a street parade from St Paul’s Worship centre on Egerton Road to Claremont Park, led by the town crier and the gala queen and her entourage – all pupils from Claremont Primary School.

Louise Chennells, Claremont community and centre co-ordinator, said: “Claremont Gala had been running successfully for many years, but sadly like many other community events it had been postponed due to the global pandemic.
