Salford brewery Seven Brothers is looking at opening a new pub right in the heart of Manchester city centre.
The brewery, which was started in 2014 by seven brothers who grew up helping their father ‘make homebrew in the cellar of their family home’ in Salford, already has three sites in the city. They are in Ancoats, MediaCityUK and Middlewood Locks in Salford.
Further afield, the company has locations at Manchester Airport, Liverpool, and Halifax, as well as a brewery and tap room in Weaste. The potential new pub is set to be housed inside a Victorian shipping warehouse.

That is Minshull House, which is located within the Kampus development in the Village. Already, the firm has temporarily moved into the space, but is now looking at a permanent site.
New planning documents show the brewery want to install internal walls, new steps between a change in levels from the original warehouse to its extension, and external signage. The application is part of a scoping-out process, a spokesperson for the brewery said.
"We are looking into the possibility of a permanent residency and made planning application if things progress," they confirmed to the MEN. "Nothing signed yet."
The site itself is rich with history. “Minshull house is a former shipping warehouse dating back to the late 1870’s and is a Grade II Listed Building,” a planning statement written by 512 Design Studio for The Seven Bro7hers Brewery said.
“It was converted for various warehouse uses in the 1920s before being home to a clothing manufacturer and mail order catalogue company during the 1950s. The University of Manchester took over the entire building in the 1980s until it closed in 2015.
