A man wanted for murder has been arrested after he was stopped by police for acting suspiciously in Bolton town centre.
Officers stopped and searched the 18-year-old male on Saturday night (October 21) after his behaviour 'raised concerns'. They then arrested him after realising he was wanted in connection with the murder of Susanne Galvin in September of this year.
Ms Galvin, 55, died in hospital on Monday (September 18) two days after she was found unconscious at her home on Pear Avenue in Bury on the evening of September 16. Stephen Ball, 31, also of Pear Avenue, has since been charged with murder by detectives and remains in custody.

GMP say the 18-year-old male remains in police custody for further questioning by GMP Major Incident Team (MIT), who are leading the murder investigation.
Chief Inspector Mark Mangnall from GMP Bolton district said: “Our thoughts remain with the family of Susanne, who tragically lost her life earlier this year.
“Operation Overspill was launched to protect our communities and reduce crime in the town centre. By proactively patrolling the area in uniform and plain clothes, we’re able to identify inappropriate or predatory behaviour, and offer reassurance to those enjoying a night out. Just by being in the area last night, the team came across the suspect, and were subsequently able to arrest him, removing a potentially very dangerous man from our streets.
“Working with our partners, our local policing teams will continue to make Bolton a safe place for people to visit and enjoy.”
