The probe into absconded prisoner Daniel Gee's whereabouts could have shifted towards the north west with recent CCTV indicating the gangster may have returned home.
Investigating force Cleveland Police yesterday confirmed the second - and most definitive - clue into Gee's whereabouts since he absconded from Kirklevington Grange prison in the north east more than two weeks ago. The former gang leader was captured on CCTV at James Cook University Hospital train station the morning after his escape where he is believed to have boarded a train to Middlesbrough.
Investigating officers yesterday released new CCTV which showed Gee meeting a woman with a pushchair. The woman who is wearing a leopard print hat, a Barbour style brown jacket and cream trousers with a knee brace on, appears to board a train with Gee to Middlesbrough, then together they board another train, which travels to Darlington, the Liverpool Echo reports.

Once there, the woman appears to leave Gee and head towards the centre of Darlington, while Gee boards a train onto Liverpool Lime Street at around 2.15pm. However, it is not yet known what stop Gee gets off at.
Cleveland Police has since said that despite the probe potentially shifting towards the north west the force is still leading the investigation. However, a spokesperson added that could change soon. Merseyside Police added: "We are assisting Cleveland Police with their enquiries but the investigation remains with them at this time." British Transport Police referred the Liverpool Echo's media enquiry to Cleveland Police.

House Of The Dragon has created a significant plot hole in Game Of Thrones lore. The first episode of season two aired on HBO in the US on June 17, with UK viewers able to watch concurrently via Sky Atlantic and streaming service NOW.In the episode, Cregan Stark relays a story from years earlier that King Jaehaerys and Queen Alysanne’s dragons were unable to go beyond the Wall, the home of Jon Snow. This appears to be in direct contradiction to the facts established in Game Of Thrones itself, in which Daenerys Targaryen did cross the Wall in an attempt to save Jon Snow.Despite the Lord of Winterfell’s dragons being seemingly more powerful than Daenerys’, it is made clear that at least two of them were unable to cross the Wall, with no logical explanation offered. In other House of the Dragon-related news, it was confirmed yesterday that a new Game Of Thrones spin-off series was in production, tentatively titled A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms. The series, which is adapted from George R. Prince Harry has been given permission to appeal against the rejection of his legal challenge to the British government’s decision to take away his police protection when he is in Britain, his lawyer said on Thursday.Harry, King Charles’ younger son, started the action after the Home Office – the ministry responsible for policing – decided in February 2020 he would not automatically receive personal police security while in Britain. In February, the High Court in London ruled that decision was lawful and dismissed Harry’s case, and in April refused him permission to challenge that ruling in a higher court. However, the Court of Appeal has now said it will hear his challenge following a direct application from Harry’s lawyers, who said Harry had been granted permission to appeal.Harry, along with other senior royals, had received full publicly-funded security protection before he stepped back from his royal duties and moved to California with his American wife Meghan in March 2020.The Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures, known as RAVEC, then decided Harry would no longer receive the same level of protection.Judge Peter Lane had concluded that RAVEC was entitled to reach this conclusion and ordered that he should pay 90% of the Home Office’s “reasonable costs” in defending the case, though the government’s total outlay was not stated. In granting permission for an appeal, Judge David Bean said he was persuaded, “not without hesitation”, that Harry’s challenge on the grounds that RAVEC had not followed its own stated policy had a real prospect of success. The case against the government is one of several high-profile legal battles Harry has brought in the High Court, with his others involving
