Police issue appeal after cyclist killed in early hours crash with SUV

Police have issued a strong warning after footage claiming to be related to a serious sexual assault in Dundee was circulated on social media. A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the assault on a woman in the city.

An appeal was launched today by officers who said they were becoming “increasingly concerned” about the welfare of Stevan Haazen.The 38-year-old was last seen leaving a bar on Glasgow’s Sauchiehall Street around 11.20pm on Saturday night but police said he has now been found.

The incident happened between 7.30pm and 8pm on Wednesday, 26 August in a park off Brediland Road in the Foxbar area. Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time.

Cops were called to reports of a breach of coronavirus restrictions at a house on Gloucester Avenue, Marple, at around 1.30am on Friday.An officer was assaulted.She was taken to hospital with a suspected broken jaw, but her injuries were not as serious as initially thought, a GMP spokesman said.A 49-year-old woman was has now been arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker.She remains in custody for questioning.
