Police have thanked members of the public after a missing Saltcoats man was found safe and well within hours of an online appeal.Officers earlier today issued an plea to trace David Cameron who hadn't been seen since around 9pm on Wednesday, 10 June, in the Lochwood Gardens area.But this afternoon a Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed he has been traced safe and well, adding: "The public and media are thanked for their assistance."

Cops have launched a probe after a 13-year-old girl was seriously sexually assaulted in a Scots woodland.
The teenager was approached in the woods near to the quarry and war memorial in Kirriemuir and attacked.
Police said the assault was 'traumatising' and took place in the early evening between Monday, 13 January, 2020, and Friday, 20 March, 2020.
The men are described as white, both 6ft 2ins, and both had brown hair. They are aged between 25 and 37 and wore sweatshirts and jogging bottoms.
