An off-duty lifeguard saved a three-year-old girl from drowning after she tripped and fell into a river.Susan McDonald, who is duty manager at East Manchester Leisure Centre, saved little Hayaa's life after rescuing her from the River Lune in Lancashire.The young girl had been at the popular beauty spot, The Crook O'Lune with her family during a day trip on August 7.Susan was sunbathing nearby when Hayaa tripped and fell into the water.

Bolton. The chase carried on for miles as the police helicopter was drafted in to help.The Audi was eventually brought to a stop in Bolton Road near Abbey Village in Chorley.One man was arrested on the spot, but another escaped the car and fled.The chase continued on foot as officers hunted for the man while the helicopter scoured Abbey Village from overhead.He was caught a short time later around half a mile from where the car was stopped.
