A drunk passenger caused two hours of chaos on a flight from Morocco to Manchester as he abused staff and fellow travellers. Benjamin Gallon - who had been drinking before the Ryanair flight on December 1 last year - was only permitted to board the plane on the grounds he didn't drink any more alcohol.
After secretly drinking from a plastic bottle, the 37-year-old became volatile and abusive. Tom Challinor, prosecuting, said there were tensions before Gallon got on the plane.
His female friend was seen smoking inside the airport apron as they waited to board. She was asked to stop. Gallon smelt strongly of alcohol, Manchester Crown Court heard.

Mr Challinor said. added: "The defendant began to abuse the complainant's sexuality and gender. He stated 'there are only two genders', before claiming that the LGBTQ+ movement 'sexualised children'."
He became increasingly aggressive towards the man, and said: "It's all your fault, you f*****." "The likes of you would rape my kids," he added.
After reporting Gallon to the cabin crew, the man and woman were moved. When an attended confronted him, Gallon said: "You're a Jamaican, you like n***es." The abuse continued, despite other passengers telling him to stay quiet. Gallon also tried to go into the storage area of the plane to retrieve his friend's cigarettes, staff
