Piers Morgan made his highly anticipated return to TV this week, with his new show, Piers Morgan Uncensored, on airing on new channel TalkTV.The former Good Morning Britain presenter, 57, made a comeback to TV a year after he stormed off of the set of the ITV news show and quit following a heated debate about Meghan Markle's Oprah Winfrey interview with Alex Beresford. Piers' comeback show kicked off with an opening introduction where he vowed the show would be a "no cancel zone" and started the show with a "trigger warning".
As the titles rolled, some of Piers' catchphrases slamming "woke culture" popped on up the screen as dramatic news music could be heard in the background. Get exclusive celebrity stories and fabulous photoshoots straight to your inbox with OK!'s daily newsletter.
He then went on to interview former US President Donald Trump, who in the chat said Meghan Markle and Prince Harry should be "stripped" of their Royal tiles. Despite the headline grabbing guest, viewers of the TalkTV show took to Twitter to share mixed reviews of the new programme – with many claiming Piers' comeback programme is "far too American".
One wrote: "I'm not entirely sure on this. I think it's too American (no offence against them at all) also, with it not being live it's just not the same," while another added: "Watching @PiersUncensored - I get that it's also for an American audience but do we really need those pop-ups like 'no cancel zone' and the talking to another camera to get the point across?" Another added: "The content is good, but the production values are far too American for British TV.
