England's first ever national competition for the unusually-named sport pickleball is set to be held in Bolton.
Pickleball, which shares features with tennis and badminton, was first played in 1965 but has massively grown in popularity in recent years, especially in the USA.
The sport is played by two or four players, using paddles and a perforated polymer ball, similar to an oversized practice golf
