Phillip Schofield has shared a snap of him on holiday saying he feels 'sad' as viewers of This Morning have been confused as to why he's not presenting.
The 60-year-old hasn't appeared on the morning show with sidekick Holly Willoughby since mid-December, except from a few pre-recorded episodes that were aired at Christmas time.
The presenting duo bid farewell to viewers a few weeks ago and were replaced with Allison Hammond, Dermot O'Leary, Andi Peters, Craig Doyle and Josie Gibson.
More pre-recorded shows with Holly and Phil were aired which had been filmed during the World Cup, Manchester Evening News reports.
However, fans were expecting the duo back to their normal roles on Tuesday, January 3 - and were surprised to see that they were nowhere to be found.
Instead, Andi Peters greeted viewers by saying: "Hello and welcome to your Tuesday's This Morning," before Josie Gibson added: "But this isn't any old This Morning, this is your first of 2023!"
The show featured Irish chef Clodagh McKenna preparing a healthy soup in the studio kitchen, an appearance from Strictly pro Giovanni Pernice ahead of his tour, and author Lynsey Crombie sharing her tips for a clean house in 2023.
Fans took to Twitter to speculate on Holly and Phillip's whereabouts, and a social media post from Philip soon revealed all.
Sharing a selfie on his Instagram story of him in Denmark, Phillip said: "Sad to leave Copenhagen. No question, the friendliest city I’ve ever visited."
Phillip spent his New Year's Eve partying in the city, heading out in a gold masquerade mask and a sharp suit.
He made his opinion about last year very clear, writing in a post: "Before it all happens..."he typed alongside the smiley photo on his Instagram. "Just to say I'm
