The 48-year-old Bolton comic took to the stage at the Manchester Apollo after three years away from the stage.
Fans, who queued around the block, were expecting belly laughs from the much-loved Phoenix Nights and Car Share legend and he delivered with the Q&A show described as 'brilliant.'
