Kavinsky has announced ‘Reborn’, his first new album in nine years – you can hear his latest single ‘Zenith’ below.The French producer, real name Vincent Belorgey, returned to action back in November with the track ‘Renegade’.Kavinsky will now release ‘Reborn’ on March 25 via Fiction / Virgin Music France, marking his first full release since his 2013 debut ‘Outrun’ (which featured his breakthrough track, the Drive-featuring ‘Nightcall’).To celebrate the news of ‘Reborn’, Kavinsky has today (February 4) shared the single ‘Zenith’, which you can hear in the below video.Billed as the sequel to ‘Nightcall’, which was originally released in 2010, ‘Zenith’ features The Dø’s Prudence (AKA Olivia Merilahti) and Justice collaborator Morgan Phalen on vocals.“Muted and futuristic, the new song reveals Kavinsky’s romantic side,” a press release further explains about the track. “Like ‘Nightcall’, it’s a duet between man and a woman. Pete Doherty and collaborator Frédéric Lo have announced a UK and European tour – see all the details below.The Libertines and Babyshambles frontman teamed up with the French musician for a new joint album, ‘The Fantasy Life Of Poetry & Crime’, which is due for release on March 18 via Doherty’s own Strap Originals label.So far, the pair have shared the single ‘You Can’t Keep It From Me Forever’ as well as the record’s title track.Today (January 28) it’s been confirmed that Doherty and Lo will hit the road in May for ‘The Fantasy Life…’ tour. Kicking off in Paris on May 5, the stint also includes stop-offs in Cologne (May 6), Berlin (7), Amsterdam (9) and Belgium (11).The duo will touch down in the UK on May 13 for a headline performance at KOKO in Camden, London.

The Kooks have announced their sixth album ’10 Tracks To Echo In The Dark’ by sharing new EP ‘Connection –  Echo in the Dark Part 1’. The six-episode series, directed by Remy Four and Julien War (“On The Other Side of the Tracks”), has just started filming in the Charente Maritime region of Southwest France.

Thierry Mugler has died aged 73. Known as the man who came to define Eighties power-dressing, Mugler’s designs were regularly worn by stars including David Bowie, Miley Cyrus, Cardi B, Diane Kruger and Diana Ross, in music videos, films, and on the red carpet. In 2017, The Independent interviewed renowned celebrity photographer Brian Aris, who took one of the most recognisable shots of Bowie in 1992, in which he wears a lime-green suit by Mugler as he leans against a pink door.

Melody’s Echo Chamber has shared details of her forthcoming third album ‘Emotional Eternal’, as well as a music video for first single.‘Looking Backward’ is the first taste of new music from the French musician – AKA Melody Prochet – since her 2018 record ‘Bon Voyage’, and is accompanied by a CGI-animated video made by the artist in collaboration with Unreal Engine specialist 3D artist Hyoyon Paik (Chlöe).Prochet described the dreamy new track as “a vivid, nonchalant, poetic march to the Unknown”, adding: “I wrote the lyrics on my way to Stockholm, in transit at the airport, there was a man creating light reflections with his watch and playing with light on the floors and walls.“It felt like an act coming from a source of pure creativity, it made me happy to catch it and inspired me to write the song.”Watch the artist ride a leopard, float with butterflies and soar through the sky in the video for ‘Looking Backward’ below:Speaking on the new album, due out April 29 via Domino and available to pre-order here, Prochet said: “I hope the record has that uplifting quality.
