Saturday Night Live will welcome Selena Gomez as its next host. The Only Murders in the Building star is set to grace the SNL stage on 14 May, joined by Post Malone as the evening’s musical guest. This will mark the first time Gomez has hosted the sketch show.

Canada’s most iconoclastic sketch comedy series is back, with Prime Video sharing a new trailer for the long-in-the-works revival of “The Kids in the Hall”.

The “Kids in the Hall” cast — Dave Foley, Bruce McCulloch, Kevin McDonald, Mark McKinney and Scott Thompson — are unearthed from their burial plot and set loose on the world once again in the first trailer for the Prime Video revival of the beloved sketch comedy. The reboot will debut on May 13, the streamer announced on Wednesday at its Prime Video Presents Canada showcase event in Toronto.Things are crushed from a distance, tasteless jokes are made and Queen Elizabeth spoofed in the trailer, which sees the comedians skeptical of their new streaming network, Amazon.The upcoming season will feature eight episodes with all-new sketches and guest stars including Pete Davidson, Mark Hamill, Catherine O’Hara, Kenan Thompson, Will Forte, Paul Bellini, Brandon Ash-Mohammed, Catherine Reitman, Samantha Bee, Fred Armisen, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Jay Baruchel, Eddie Izzard, Tracee Ellis Ross and Colin Mochrie.  The original Emmy-nominated sketch show premiered in 1989 and become a cult comedy hit.

Isla Fisher (Wolf Like Me) has signed on to star alongside Will Ferrell, Jamie Foxx, Will Forte and Randall Park in Universal’s animated comedy Strays, Deadline can confirm.

As tonight’s episode of Saturday Night Live wound down, the show paid tribute to its former writer John Bowman, who died suddenly at home in California on New Year’s Eve, aged 64.

It turns out, though, that MacGruber has been taken in by the anti-vax crowd.The first MacGruber sketch of the night saw the action hero and his cohorts Vicki (Kristen Wiig) and Piper (Ryan Phillippe) trapped in a small room with a bomb about to go off. All three are wearing face masks.“I know this whole COVID situation has really changed the game, so we got to be smart about this, okay?” MacGruber says.

Talk about a surprise! Will Forte revealed that he married his wife Olivia Modling over the summer during a secret ceremony in a new interview with People on Wednesday December 8. The Saturday Night Live star wed his beautiful bride on July 31, after the two welcomed their daughter Zoe Douglas Forte on February 15. The 51-year-old comedian explained that the two put the ceremony together in two weeks, before his parents were visiting the set of his upcoming show MacGruber.
