NBCUniversal Syndication Studios has renewed the daily first-run talk show Karamo for its third season in national syndication.

E! News‘ Keltie Knight has been promoted to co-host of the nightly entertainment news show alongside Justin Sylvester. She begins her new role tonight, March 4, at 11 pm ET/PT.

Kelly Clarkson is finally coming back.

Karamo, the syndicated talk show hosted by Karamo Brown, has been renewed for a second season. The news was announced Thursday by Tracie Wilson, Executive Vice President, NBCUniversal Syndication Studios & E! News.

News executive vice president Tracie Wilson.     To date, “Karamo,” which replaced Maury Povich’s talker, is sold in 85% of the country and appears on leading station groups across the country including Nexstar, Weigel, Tegna, Sunbeam, Hearst, Sinclair, Capitol, Block, CW Plus, Mission Broadcasting and more. “Karamo” is executive produced by Kerry Shannon and co-executive produced by Gloria Harrison-Hall.

NBCUniversal has promoted Tammy Filler and Jamie Cutburth to the position of EVP in the advertising and partnership group and upped Jenny Depper to SVP of E! News Digital.

Filler a longtime producer at NBC News’ “Today” who became editor in chief at E! News, will join NBCU’s advertising-sales unit as an executive vice president working on developing sponsorships and content integrations related to NBCU personalities and intellectual property. She will report to Josh Feldman, chief marketing officer for NBCU’s advertising and partnerships unit. Since joining E! News in 2019, Filler joined E! News in 2019 and has worked to develop content efforts across properties including Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok and Instagram. During her tenure, she has worked with the ad-sales division. Filler, who was won four Emmy Awards as a producer, over a ten-year period was executive producer of the fourth hour of “Today,” which she developed into a sub-brand of the franchise anchored by Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb.

The Kelly Clarkson Show isn’t going anywhere any time soon. The syndicated daytime talk show has been renewed for another two seasons, which will bring it through 2025.

E! News is coming back to television.

Business Insider, which first reported the news of the layoffs. “One of our top priorities is to solidify E!’s role in entertainment news well into the future, and on that note, we are restructuring the leadership team to better help us achieve that goal,” wrote Tracie Wilson, NBCU’s executive vice president of syndication studios and E! News, in a memo to staffers at the time.

Selome Hailu “Daily Pop” and “Nightly Pop” have been canceled by E!, the network has confirmed to Variety. The cancellation comes as part of a restructuring of the network that includes Details of the talk shows’ end as well as the new leadership team were announced to staff in a memo from Tracie Wilson, who serves as NBCUniversal’s executive vice president of syndication studios, on Friday morning. In it, Wilson shared that as Tammy Filler continues her role as executive vice president and editor-in-chief of E! News, she will have three direct reports including Jen Lavin leading creative, Jamie Blynn leading online editorial and someone who will be hired to lead digital strategy.

Maury Povich says it hasn't hit him yet that his show has officially ended. The "Maury" host announced he was retiring on Monday. In an interview with "Good Morning America," he revealed he wrapped filming season 31 filming this week.

'Maury' has been cancelled after 31 years on air. The talk show - which has been fronted by 83-year-old Maury Povich for almost 4,000 episodes since 1991 - was famed for dealing with issues such as teenage pregnancy, sexual infidelity and revealing paternity test results to a live audience but is coming to an end after three decades because the veteran TV star wants to retire.

The end is near for a daytime classic. Maury Povich confirmed that Maury will end in fall 2022 after the syndicated talk show finishes season 31.
