Little Mix‘s Perrie Edwards has announced that she is working on new solo music, but has “no deadline” set on when it’ll be released.Edwards was a part of the multi-platinum award-winning girl group, who are currently “taking a break” since last year.Prior to Little Mix’s hiatus, Jesy Nelson left the group and embarked on her own solo career, releasing the Nicki Minaj-assisted ‘Boyz’ that sparked some online controversy.The remaining girls – Leigh-Ann Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall – have all done a solo project. Pinnock was a protagonist in the Christmas movie Boxing Day and has since signed to Warner Records.

Fans of Lewis Capaldi were left baffled on Sunday evening after the singer appeared to share his phone number on social media. The 26-year-old singer, from West Lothian, posted a snap of an iPhone showing a contact profile and phone number on Instagram.

Yossman Ed Sheeran has scored a second victory in his recent copyright trial after a British judge awarded the singer over $1.1 million in costs.The sum represents approximately 90% of Sheeran’s legal bill.Explaining his decision to award Sheeran such substantial costs, Judge Antony Zacaroli wrote in his judgment: “The starting point is to identify the winners and losers in the action because the general rule is that the unsuccessful party pays the costs of the successful party… There is no dispute as to this: [Sheeran] undoubtedly won and won on every substantial point.”In April, Judge Zacaroli ruled that Sheeran had not plagiarised a 2015 song titled “Oh Why” by Sami Chokri in his hit “Shape of You.” Sheeran co-wrote “Shape of You” alongside Snow Patrol singer Johnny McDaid and producer Steve Mac (during the trial he used his legal name of Steven McCutcheon), who were co-claimants in the action.Chokri’s legal team had argued that, through a publicity campaign and mutual friends including SBTV founder Jamal Edwards (who unexpectedly died shortly before the trial), Sheeran had had the opportunity to listen to – and plagiarize – Chokri’s track.

Ed Sheeran has detailed the stress and ‘cost on [his] mental health’ caused by the Shape Of You copyright battle.  The 31-year-old singer won the High Court case on Wednesday alongside Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid and producer Steven McCutcheon, also known as Steve Mac.   Two songwriters, Sami Chokri and Ross O’Donoghue, had alleged that Sheeran’s 2017 hit single infringed on ‘particular lines and phrases’ from their track, Oh Why.

Ed Sheeran has won his High Court copyright battle over his hit song Shape of You.The singer, who recently spoke about being supported by his wife Cherry Seaborn throughout the case, was accused of being a "magpie" who "borrows" ideas from other artists, and he denied copying other songwriters Sami Chokri and Ross O'Donoghue and their song Oh Why, which was released in 2015. Chokri and O'Donoghue had claimed the Shape of You chorus, which 31 year old Sheeran sings out “oh I oh I oh I”, was actually stolen from their own chorus “oh why oh why oh why”. Mr Justice Zacaroli concluded Mr Sheeran "neither deliberately nor subconsciously" copied the phrase in a ruling today (April 6).

Maisie Peters has signed to Ed Sheeran‘s label Gingerbread Man Records and announced her debut album ‘You Signed Up For This’.Peters’ first LP is set for release on August 27 and will be previewed on July 2 with the single ‘Psycho’, which was co-written with Sheeran and Steve Mac.“Signing to Gingerbread is a dream come true,” Peters said in a statement.
