Dara O Briain admits he broke 'parenting boundaries' with Taskmaster

Channel 4’s Taskmaster is welcoming back its winners to compete in a special round of silly shenanigans with hosts Alex Horne and Greg Davies. Returning alongside Morgan Robinson, Sophie Duker and other previous series victors is Dara O Briain, who admits that despite his love for the show, it has been a bad influence on his three children. “It became a family favourite during lockdown and it also broke a few boundaries for us in our parenting – it was when we gave up the fight against bad language,” laughs Dara, who shares a daughter, 15, and two sons, 12 and 18, with his wife Susan.

‘Taskmaster’ series 14 start date confirmed for this month

Channel 4 has announced that series 14 of Taskmaster will air weekly from Thursday September 29 at 9pm.Hosted by Greg Davies and his assistant Alex Horne, the comedy game show returns this month to put a new line-up of celebrity contestants through a series of bizarre challenges.The line-up for this series includes comedians Dara Ó Briain, Fern Brady, John Kearns, Munya Chawawa and Sarah Millican.A synopsis reads: “Across the series, Greg will be presented with visual evidence of the competence, or otherwise, of this cross-section of comics trying to complete a range of tasks that may or may not be useful in everyday life. Taskmaster star Chris Ramsey has set a new record for the highest first episode score in the show's history. During tonight's (April 14) season premiere, the comedian was up against Death in Paradise star Ardal O'Hanlon, Bridget Christie, Judi Love and Sophie Duker. Ramsey won the episode with a record score of 23 points, the highest score a contender has ever reached in a season premiere of the Channel 4 game show.
