Rita Wilson is setting the record straight. The 66-year-old actress and singer attended the screening of her husband, Tom Hanks', upcoming Wes Anderson film,, at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday in Cannes, France.The A-list pair were all glitz and glamor on the red carpet, but it wasn't all smiles.

Rita Wilson is setting the record straight about those pics of her and Tom Hanks appearing to scold a man on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet.

Tom Hanks, 66, and his wife Rita Wilson, also 66, were spotted looking terse at the star-studded premiere of the Hollywood legend's latest film and pointing fingers at an unnamed man believed to be assisting the event.Tom was joined on the red carpet by his wife of 35 years and all seemed to be going well as they posed for pictures with his co-stars, however the couple were swiftly pictured exchanging what looked like heated words with a staff member. Castaway star Tom, who was dressed in a smart tuxedo and bow tie, and Rita were seen looking incredibly tense and leaning into the man as they spoke to him at the film's Cannes Film Festival screening. And after the pictures started to go viral, Rita quickly came to her husband's defence, posting a story on her Instagram on Wednesday morning to explain what really happened between the trio.

With this new production, could I find the answers about Cleopatra’s heritage and release her from the stranglehold that Hollywood had placed on her image?

The Meryl Streep Center for Performing Artists will be built on the 10th floor of SAG-AFTRA’s longtime home in the famed Museum Square building. It’s expected to open its doors early next year, thanks to support from its namesake, the three-time Oscar winner who is one of the most renowned actors of all time. The facility will also feature the Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson Screening Room, equipped with high-end technology to host screenings, panels and educational programs.

Focus Features has set a September 8 global release date for My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3. That will give some breadth to the post-Labor Day box office and an option for older female moviegoers, that weekend already having New Line’s The Nun 2 on the schedule.

Elias Kacavas and Melina Kotselou join the family this time around. Amazon’s Prime Video is in negotiations to acquire a John Candy documentary from Colin Hanks and Ryan Reynolds, TheWrap has confirmed. Hanks, son of Tom Hanks and star of “Life in Pieces,” “Orange County” and “A Friend of the Family,” will direct the project while Reynolds, star of “Deadpool,” “Free Guy” and “The Adam Project,” will produce alongside George Dewey via his Maximum Effort production company. The documentary feature will explore John Candy’s life and career, including starring roles in “The Great Outdoors,” “Spaceballs,” “Planes, Trains and Automobiles,” “Uncle Buck” and “Cool Runnings.” The actor was on the verge of establishing himself as a comic actor who could also handle dramatic roles in weightier fare like “Only the Lonely” and Oliver Stone’s “JFK” when he died in 1994 of a heart attack at the age of 43.
