Directed and produced by James Webb (Mark Normand: Soup to Nuts), his new hour will debut on the streaming platform this December.
We’re Here is getting a revamp. HBO announced today it has renewed the reality series for a fourth season with new hosts Drag Race Season 9 winner Sasha Velour, Canada’s Drag Race Season 1 winner Priyanka and Drag Race Season 12 champ Jaida Essence Hall. They will replace Bob the Drag Queen, D.J. “Shangela” Pierce and Eureka O’Hara, who starred in the first three seasons. Production is slated to begin on Season 4 later this month.

Michael Schneider Variety Editor at Large Conan O’Brien’s long-awaited move to HBO Max — well, make that now just “Max” — is finally happening. Max has officially ordered “Conan O’Brien Must Go,” a four-episode international travel series currently in production. Scroll down to watch a first look. The series was set to be announced Wednesday at Warner Bros. Discovery’s upfront presentation. According to Max, the new show will follow O’Brien as he travels the globe visiting people he has met through his podcast “Conan O’Brien Needs a Fan” (in which he chats with listeners from around the globe). In a press release, O’Brien quipped, “My fans around the globe never asked me to visit them, so I did.”
Two-time Emmy winner Sarah Silverman is returning to HBO for a new stand-up comedy special, her second for the premium cable network. The as-yet untitled special, taped in front of a live audience at The Wilbur Theater in Boston, MA, will debut this May.
HBO has handed a series order to a comedy documentary series about Jerrod Carmichael’s life. Carmichael will executive produce as part of his overall deal with HBO.
EXCLUSIVE: On the heels of his headline-making HBO special Rothaniel, Jerrod Carmichael has signed a two-year overall deal with the premium network. It includes Carmichael headlining a new stand-up comedy special. It would be his third at HBO, following the 2014 Love at the Store, 2017 8 and this year’s Rothaniel. He is also expected to develop other projects. Noone is commenting but I hear the pact is valued in the eight-figure range.
EXCLUSIVE: HBO has handed a second season renewal to the weekly late-night series Game Theory With Bomani Jones. The series, which hails from Adam McKay’s Hyperobject Industries, wrapped its first season last month.
