Line Of Duty’s Martin Compston has vehemently denied singing an IRA chant after a video of him at a Celtic convention in America emerged on social media. The actor, who was a guest at a North American Celtic Supporters Federation (NACSF) event in Las Vegas on Wednesday night, was filmed punching the air and singing on stage. The recording heard an animated crowd cry out ‘Irish Republic Army’ and ‘IRA’ to the tune of Daniel Boone’s 1972 hit Beautiful Sunday.

As the annual UNICEF fundraiser switched from Old Trafford to the London Stadium, Dermot was joined by former England international and Strictly star Alex Scott who be his presenting partner for the charity event.

This year’s line-up includes Scotland’s Strongest Man, Tom Stoltman, as well as actor Damian LewisRunning since 2006, Soccer Aid is an annual charity event that has raised over £38 million for UNICEF UK so far, fundraising money via ticket sales and donations from the public. It was first begun by Robbie Williams and involves a charity football match played by celebrity volunteers. The Firm opened six weeks ago in LA, as founding member Charles Lew gushed on social media: "Doors now open!!! 'The Firm' private membership club, is our whisky and cigar bar in the Westin Bonaventure that’s been an arduous labor of love and a long time coming." Charlie gave his Instagram followers a quick tour of the new venue. The bar looks to have a very homely vibe with red leather chesterfield sofas dotted around the club.
