Former This Morning co-star Phillip Schofield could reportedly be offered a “£1.5million deal” to host a rival morning show after he quit his gig on ITV earlier today. The 61-year-old has hosted This Morning since 2002, first with Fern Britton and then with Holly Willoughby, who took over from Fern on 14 September 2009. Now, the MailOnline has reported that Channel 5 will be “waiting in the wings” to give Phillip an offer to feature on a rival morning show following his swift exit.

The summer series of Love Island is reportedly set to air in just a few weeks time.The most recent season of the popular ITV2 show came to an end in March, with the new series said to be returning to screens on 5 June. Manori Ravindran Executive Editor of International British media editor Juliana Koranteng, a well-respected freelancer in the U.K. journalism community and the founder of JayKay Media Consultancy, has died. She was 64. The Broadcasting Press Guild, of which Koranteng was a member, confirmed on Wednesday that Koranteng died in February following a short illness. “Juliana regularly attended our lunches and breakfasts – most recently, the Kevin Lygo lunch in December 2022 – and lit them up with her shining presence and well-informed questions,” said the BPG in a statement on Wednesday. BPG chair Grant Tucker added: “We had a lovely catch up at the Christmas lunch in December. She was always such a bright personality at every BPG event I attended. She will be much missed.”

From its launch in 2000 until 2010 the show aired on Channel 4 before moving to Channel 5 in 2011. It ran there for seven years until Channel 5 finally retired the format in 2018.  Speaking to the media during an earnings call after ITV declared its 2022 financial results, Lygo said: “The key to ‘Big Brother’ is to keep it like it was in its golden period – to have it more interesting, intelligent, upmarket etc. than other reality shows.
