Jazz Tangcay Artisans EditorWhen director Jordan Peele was in discussions about his box office hit “Nope,” he knew one thing: He wanted the film to be a vast spectacle. His first step was calling on cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema to work with him on what he calls “my most ambitious film to date.
“Nope,” is no different. While Peele’s new movie isn’t as reliant on twists, it still has a few big reveals and plenty more to discuss.“Nope” follows Otis Jr. (or “OJ”) Haywood (Daniel Kaluuya) and his sister Emerald (Keke Palmer), who take over their family ranch and stunt business following the untimely and mysterious death of their father (genre legend Keith David).
Jordan Peele knows you might get a little confused watching his films the first time, but the Academy Award-winning director says it's all part of the experience. ET's Kevin Frazier spoke with Peele at the premiere of his new thriller, , and asked him if he intentionally makes his films confusing to «mess with folks.»«I like to make a movie that you can watch in a different way,» Peele explains.
Jordan Peele’s “Nope” are pouring in as the movie continues its premiere in Los Angeles, earning praises for the director’s turn to science-fiction and drawing comparison to filmmakers like Steven Spielberg.Expectations are high for “Nope,” given Peele’s emergence as one of the most beloved directors over the last five years. His film debut, “Get Out,” earned four Oscar nominations, including best picture, director for Peele and actor for Kaluuya. Peele won the Academy Award for original screenplay.
“A little bit of horror, a little bit of comedy; I’m always going to try and give you a big show.”

Jupiter’s Claim right now.Peele tweeted the link on Friday with no further explanation. On the home page, there’s a popup message from cartoon character Ricky “Jupe” Park introducing himself as “former child actor and reality TV star of ‘Kid Sheriff’ fame.” That’s the same name as the character Steven Yuen plays.
