Brent Lang Executive Editor Decal Releasing has acquired “Which Brings Me to You,” a romantic comedy starring Lucy Hale and Nat Wolff. The movie is based on a novel by Steve Almond and Julianna Baggott. It is directed by Peter Hutchings, who previously helmed “The Hating Game.”  Keith Bunin (“Onward”) wrote the script.

Brent Lang Executive Editor Madison Wells Live will present a private industry reading of “The Thing About Jellyfish,” a new play by Keith Bunin based on the best-selling novel by Ali Benjamin. The reading will take place on Oct. 6 in New York City.

Last October, news broke that James Gray‘s follow-up to “Armageddon Time” would be a biopic about John F. Kennedy‘s time in World War II.

EXCLUSIVE: James Gray and Focus Features are reuniting as Gray has come on to direct Ezekiel Moss for the studio from a script by Keith Bunin. Likely Story is producing the film. Bunin recently delivered a draft that blew the studio and Gray away with the director recently committing to it. Gray and Bunin will now team to develop the full the story as they get ready for the pre-production process.

Questlove is set to direct a new adaptation of The Aristocats for Disney.The Roots musician, producer and filmmaker – real name Ahmir Khalib Thompson – will reimagine the animated 1970 movie as “a live-action/hybrid”, according to Deadline. Similar to “Sonic the Hedgehog” or “Space Jam: A New Legacy,” the adaptation of “The Aristocats” will be a blend of live-action and CGI. Yossman “Pretty Little Liars” star Lucy Hale is set to reunite with “The Hating Game” director Peter Hutchings for romantic comedy “Which Brings Me to You.”The film is an adaptation of Julianna Baggott and Steve Almond’s novel about a journalist and a photographer who, instead of a one-night stand, spend 24 hours sharing their romantic histories in the coat room at a friend’s wedding.Hutchings will direct from a screenplay by Keith Bunin (“Onward”) with the film set to shoot this summer.Hale will play Jane, a journalist, who finds herself ready to hook up with photographer Will during a wedding.

There’s another live-action adaptation of a classic animated movie in the works at Disney!

Will Gluck and Keith Bunin are set to write the live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated “The Aristocats,” according to an individual with knowledge of the project.Gluck will also produce the project via his Olive Bridge Entertainment banner. The project is in early development and it is currently unknown if it is being developed for Disney+ or theatrical.Released in 1970, “The Arisotcats” centers on a family of aristocratic cats, and how an alley cat acquaintance helps them after a butler has kidnapped them to gain his mistress’s fortune which was intended to go to them.
