Last year, Kane was the only country artist to receive a nomination.

Kane Brown is making music history this weekend as the first country music artist to perform on the MTV VMAs stage. As if that was not enough, he is also making history as the first performer to incorporate a mixed reality element from the Toyota stage into his performance, promising audiences something completely new and different.  "It's such an iconic show to be a part of, and I just feel really honored that they asked me.

Thania Garcia Bad Bunny will be performing remotely for MTV’s Video Music Awards live from his “World’s Hottest Tour” stop in New York’s Yankee Stadium. Although the VMAs are being held at New Jersey’s Prudential Center, roughly 25 miles (but nightmarish traffic distance) from Yankee Stadium, Bad Bunny will be making an appearance and performing “never-before-seen choreography” through the live broadcast. The Puerto Rican artist made his first VMAs appearance in 2019 alongside J. Balvin for a performance of “Que Pretendes.” The year before that, he scored his first Moon Person in the song of the summer category for his, Cardi B, and J. Balvin’s “I Like It.”

MTV VMAs are just days away, and this year’s ceremony will see top artists like Harry Styles, Lizzo, Billie Eilish, Drake, and Taylor Swift battle it out for the top awards. Music fans will get to enjoy performances from stars like Nicki Minaj, BLACKPINK, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, in between finding out if their favourite artists have won big. Plus, actor Johnny Depp has been rumoured to be attending the VMAs, dressed as the Moonman mascot, as reported by TMZ.

The MTV Video Music Awards later this month will have not one emcee but three, with rap stars LL Cool J, Nicki Minaj and Jack Harlow set to anchor the ceremony. They will introduce and present the famous Moon Person trophies alongside performers including Lizzo, Anitta, BLACKPINK, J Balvin, Måneskin, Kane Brown, Marshmello with Khalid, and Panic! At The Disco on Aug. 28 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

The Judds made their triumphant TV return on Monday at this year’s CMT Music Awards. Legendary mother-daughter duo Naomi and Wynonna Judd performed together for their first televised number in over 20 years.

Country star and actress Faith Hill was joined by her on-screen daughter in the Paramount Plus streaming series 1883 to present the final award at the 2022 CMT Music Awards. Kelsea Ballerini still participated in the CMT Music Awards on Monday night despite self-isolating with Covid-19. The country music star, who was due to co-host the ceremony with Marvel actor Anthony Mackie, announced hours before the show that she had contracted Covid-19 so could no longer appear in person. While she stayed home and isolated, Kelsea did not bow out of the show altogether.
