“The Gray Man,” the explosive new action extravaganza from Joe and Anthony Russo (directors of “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame”), debuts in theaters this weekend and hits Netflix next Friday (July 22), and it marks one of the biggest films Netflix has ever made. It stars Ryan Gosling, who returns to movies for the first time since 2018’s “First Man,” as the titular Gray Man, a shadowy operative for the C.I.A.

Netflix looks to be reuniting with some familiar faces as sources tell Deadline the streamer has come on to Joe and Anthony Russo’s next directing feature The Electric State with Millie Bobby Brown set to star. Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely adapted the script, with the Russos and Mike Larocca producing for AGBO. Chris Castaldi, and Patrick Newall are also producing.

“As we’re nearing the end of Phase 4, I think people will start to see where this next saga is going,” Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige recently told Total Film.

Brent Lang Executive Editor of Film and MediaScreen Media has acquired all North American rights to “The Locksmith,” an upcoming action-thriller starring Ryan Phillippe, Kate Bosworth and Ving Rhames.The film was directed by Nicolas Harvard, a veteran first assistant director whose credits include “Hell or High Water” and “Whiplash.” It marks his feature directorial debut. Screen Media is planning a day-and-date, theatrical and on-demand release later this year.In “The Locksmith,” Miller (Phillippe), an ex-con recently released from prison for a bungled robbery, tries to walk a straight line and work his way back into the lives of his ex, Beth (Bosworth), a police detective, and their young daughter.

EXCLUSIVE: The Hideaway Entertainment has promoted Kristy Grisham to SVP of Development and Production, upping Ryan Cassells to Director of Development and Production, and tapping Jennifer Cox as Creative Executive.
