EXCLUSIVE: The Witcher writer and producer Jenny Klein has found a new home.

Netflix began its superhero programming with the massively popular Marvel series such as “Daredevil,” “Jessica Jones,” and “Luke Cage.” However, those series didn’t last, as Disney now has the rights back to those.

Over the past few years, specifically, when Disney purchased Marvel a decade ago, the company has been trying its best to keep all the characters’ rights under one roof. While there is still the whole ‘Spider-Man’ situation with Sony, the only other outliers that are left are the ‘Defenders’ characters that were lent to Netflix for the multi-year run of series.

Marvel Studios has a slew of television series in the works at Disney+ following the launch of WandaVision.

In departing to Disney+ for a new generation of superhero television tied to its blockbuster film franchises, Marvel distanced itself from the branded shows that filled Netflix queues for years.

With “WandaVision” airing on Disney+ tomorrow, it’s a week full of Kevin Feige interviews and Marvel news, and this week the MCU studio chief has teased the return of Netlflix characters and actors again.

British director S.J. Clarkson is all set to direct the upcoming female-led Spider-Man spinoff movie. The upcoming film will be a part of the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters. This is not the first time the director will collaborate with Marvel. In the past, she had directed episodes for Jessica Jones and The Defenders. Other than these, Clarkson also has House, Dexter, and Succession, to her directing credit. The creators have not spilled any more information about the project.
