The event, which typically features alternative and rock acts, also counts Paramore, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Two Door Cinema Club and Liam Gallagher among its 85 acts.Elsewhere, on the pop front, the festival will welcome Lil Nas X, Remi Wolf and The 1975, while The Kooks, Jamie XX, Foals and IDLES will further represent the UK.

Primavera Sound festival organizers have apologised for problems with bar services on the first day of the event. The three-day festival, which takes place in Barcelona, Spain, features a line-up including Tame Impala, Gorillaz, Charli XCX, and Tyler, The Creator. However, the first day of the festival was marred by many festivalgoers taking to Twitter to complain of overcrowding, a lack of access to water, key travel lanes being open only to VIPs, and hour-long queues to get served at the bar.

Oliver Sim of The xx has revealed he has been living with HIV since he was 17. Sim disclosed the news while sharing new solo song "Hideous," which will feature on Sim's forthcoming solo debut album, Hideous Bastard, due September 9.

It’s also been accompanied by a new Yann Gonzalez-directed video, which you can see below.In a note accompanying its release, Sim explained that ‘Hideous’ explores his experience of living with HIV.“Early on in the making of my record, ‘Hideous Bastard’, I realised that I was writing a lot about fear and shame,” Sim wrote.

Headie One and has recruited French rapper Gazo for his new single, titled ’22 Carats’.Over a beat courtesy of French producer Leo Eynard, ’22 Carats’ sees Headie and Gazo rap in English and French respectively. The new single arrives alongside a Neetch-directed video, which features both rappers delivering their bars interspersed with studio footage.

Parklife has announced a last minute ticket resale after extra tickets were made available via an anti-tout scheme and failed payment plans.Manchester’s Heaton Park festival, which sees 50 Cent, Tyler, the Creator, Megan Thee Stallion, Lewis Capaldi, Bicep, Chase And Status, Jamie xx, Four Tet and more perform at the 2022 event, teamed up with Greater Manchester Police (GMP) to secure fake or stolen tickets that were being resold to unsuspecting victims at inflated prices.Additionally, a number of failed payment plans by intended attendees meant that more tickets are now being released for the June 11-12 festival. Limited weekend (general admission, VIP) and Sunday tickets go on sale from 10am this Thursday (May 12) here.Graeme Openshaw, GMP Chief Superintendent, said in a statement: “We recognise that for an event such as Parklife that there are many people who will be unable to get tickets.

Jamie xx has announced his return this week with a new single.On Instagram, Jamie xx announced that he will return tomorrow (April 12) with new track, ‘Let’s Do It Again’.“I had a lot of fun trying this one out at festivals last year. You might recognise it…” he wrote on Instagram over the weekend.

Last month Oliver Sim of The xx dropped his first solo single "Romance With A Memory" (complete with a drag queen-filled video) and today he returns with its follow up. "Fruit" is described in a press release as "a joyful celebration of queer identity and self-acceptance penned to his younger self" and comes with a video in which Sim is interviewed on a chat show before performing the song while a childhood version of himself watches on. The xx have announced a new monthly show on Apple Music 1, Interludes Radio.The London trio – comprised of Romy Madley-Croft, Oliver Sim and Jamie xx – will each present their own separate instalment of the series, kicking off with Sim’s edition this Thursday (March 10) at 2pm GMT.For the inaugural “horror-themed” episode, the singer and bassist will be joined by a host of friends and collaborators, including Florence Welch, Elton John, Sampha, John Glacier, director Yann Gonzalez, as well as his bandmates from The xx.Subsequent editions will be hosted by Jamie xx and Madley-Croft, though the exact air dates for these are yet to be confirmed.“We’ll be taking turns to host each episode and get into the things that inspire us individually,” The xx said in a joint statement. “An hour of music, guests and sneak peeks of what we’re all up to on our own and together.”You can tune into Interludes Radio live for free on Apple Music 1, and listen back on-demand with an Apple Music subscription.The xx’s most recent studio album, ‘I See You’, came out back in 2017.

The xx have shared a live rendition of Jamie xx‘s ‘Stranger In A Room’ which they performed as a band back in 2016.The song, which features xx bassist Oliver Sim on vocals, originally appeared on Jamie xx’s 2015 solo album ‘In Colour’.The band performed the track live a handful of times when they were preparing for their 2016 ‘I See You’ tour, and they’ve now decided to officially release one of those versions.“You probably know ‘Stranger In A Room’ as a @jamie___xx track with Oliver @hideousbastard on vocals, but we also performed it live, as a band, when we were warming up for the ‘I See You’ Tour in December 2016,” the band wrote today (February 24) in an Instagram post.A post shared by The xx (@thexx)The post continued: “We only played it 4 or 5 times, but luckily one of these performances was recorded and we’ve decided to release it. The Chemical Brothers and Jamie xx have been announced as the headliners of the inaugural edition of the new Bristol festival, Forwards.Forwards will take place on Clifton Downs in Bristol from September 3-4, with 60,000 people expected to attend over two days.Jamie xx will headline the opening night of the festival on September 3, with the day also set to feature performances by the likes of Little Simz, Khruangbin, Fred again.., Floating Points and Shygirl.The Chemical Brothers will close Forwards 2022 on September 4, with their headline slot following sets by the likes of Róisín Murphy, Caribou, Sleaford Mods, Kae Tempest and Self Esteem.A post shared by Forwards Bristol (@forwardsbristol)More names are set to be added to the line-up soon.
