2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards kicked off Sunday night and celebrated the very best of entertainment, in a revamped, reimagined pre-taped version of the show, due to the ongoing WGA strike.Going into Sunday's show, top nominees on the scripted side this year included and all with six nods, and and with four each. Meanwhile, on the unscripted side,, and each nabbed two nominations apiece.The show also saw a lot of famous faces as first-time nominees, including Austin Butler, Bad Bunny, Bella Ramsey, Cara Delevingne, Courteney Cox, Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Jennifer Coolidge, Quinta Brunson and Riley Keough, to name a few.So who walked away with the fancy new hardware? While the awards show was set to broadcast live on Sunday, it was announced that due to the strike, the network would air a pre-taped special as several attendees announced they were pulling out of the show. “As we carefully navigate how best to deliver the fan first awards’ show we envisioned that our team has worked so hard to create, we’re pivoting away from a live event that still enables us to produce a memorable night full of exclusive sneak peaks, irreverent categories our audience has come to expect, and countless moments that will both surprise and delight as we honor the best of film and TV over the past year,” said Bruce Gillmer, president of music, music talent, programming and events at Paramount Global, and an executive producer of the MTV Movie & TV Awards, in a statement.
K.J. Yossman Netflix’s director of U.K. features Fiona Lamptey has exited the streamer after nineteenth months, Variety understands. No reason has been given for the move and Netflix declined to comment. Lamptey joined Netflix U.K. Oct. in 2021 from Fruit Tree Media with a brief to expand Netflix’s U.K. talent roster and scout new IP to adapt for feature-length productions. She previously spent 13 years at Channel 4 and its feature division Film4. Among the features developed during her time at the streamer are “I Came By,” starring “Downton Abbey’s” Hugh Bonneville, “The Wonder,” which starred Florence Pugh and “The Strays” starring Ashley Madekwe and Bukky Bakray.

Feyd-Rautha was previously played by Sting in David Lynch’s 1984 film adaptation. Feyd-Rautha is the evil nephew of Baron Harkonnen (Stellan Skarsgård) and the brother of the sadistic Glossu Rabban, played by Dave Bautista in Villeneuve’s film franchise. The two brothers are in competition to become the Harkonnen family’s successor on the planet Arrakis.
