Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer has been grabbing plenty of headlines and dollars this week but the BBC has turned the clocks back to a different retelling, making its classic series available on iPlayer.

All seven episodes of the Sam Waterston-led drama series from 1980 is now available in full on the BBC streaming service. Until now, the BAFTA-winning and Emmy-nominated series was only available to rent or purchase on Prime Video.

K.J. Yossman Joe Nocera, the host and writer of “The Shrink Next Door” podcast, has set a new, Agatha Christie-themed series with Audible, Variety can confirm. Produced by transatlantic podcast production company Blanchard House, “Agatha Christie and the Dandelion Poisoner” will see Nocera investigate a real-life murder that inspired Agatha Christie and has gone unexplained for a hundred years. Speaking to experts across a range of fields, from psychiatry to forensic toxicology, he plots the case against the highs and lows of Christie’s life, including her own mysterious disappearance, mental health issues, romances and marital difficulties, all set against a backdrop of 1920s England.

Anthony Ramos, the In the Heights star who’ll soon be seen on the big screen in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, revealed in a podcast today that he’s signed on to star as Mozart in a Broadway revival of Peter Shaffer’s 1979 play Amadeus.

Actor David Suchet finally received his knighthood from Prince William at Windsor Castle on Tuesday, 25 January, after he was forced to miss the original ceremony due to a positive Covid-19 test.The legendary actor, 75, looked smart in a long suit jacket, stripy trousers and a red tie as he attended the ceremony with his wife Sheila Ferris, being knighted by Prince William for his services to drama and charity.The actor, who played Agatha Christie's famous detective Hercule Poirot for almost 25 years, shared how he had tested positive for Covid last month in a now deleted tweet. Sir David revealed on Twitter that he had tested positive for Covid-19 with a lateral flow test and would be taking a PCR test on Wednesday 15 December – the day he was originally supposed to receive the prestigious honour. However, his stint as the famed character came to an end in 2013 when Poirot died after solving his final case – something that David described as the "saddest" day in his acting career.

It’s a great start to the weekend for Mary Berry who has just been named a Dame in the Queen’s Birthday Honours sealing her title as a national icon.The Bake Off star was honoured alongside fellow legends Sir David Attenborough and Poiret star David Suchet, among others.Reacting to the news, the 85-year-old reportedly said she feels ‘overwhelmed’ to receive the great honour of being made a Dame and that it’s a pity her family aren’t here to witness her wonderful achievement.Speaking via PA, Mary

BritBox, the subscription video streaming service from BBC Studios and ITV, has picked up the rights to an extensive collection of Agatha Christie films, TV series and audio plays for its North American service. The acquisition — which includes additional series of Poirot starring David Suchet and newly restored high-definition versions of ITV's Marple and Partners in Crime— gives the platform the largest combined collection of Christie adaptations available in North America.
