EXCLUSIVE: Jeremy Steckler is exiting his post as President of Film Production at Imperative Entertainment to focus on producing under his newly launched shingle Enhanced Hammer. In addition to leading his production company, he will act as a consultant to Imperative Entertainment on select projects. Steckler arrived at Imperative in July 2019.

It’s kinda crazy to think that since 2010 (when he released the massively popular “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse“), filmmaker David Slade has only worked on one feature film, 2018’s experimental Netflix project, “Black Mirror: Bandersnatch.” Sure, over that time, he has worked quite a bit with quality TV series like “Breaking Bad,” “Hannibal,” and “American Gods,” but he hasn’t done really anything in film.

Brent Lang Executive Editor David Slade, the director of the Emmy and BAFTA-award winning “Black Mirror: Bandersnatch,” has signed with 42, the Los Angeles and London-based management and production company. The company will manage the filmmaker, who also joins 42’s commercials offering OB42 for representation in the U.K.

A native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Page notched his first role at the age of 10, earning a Young Artist Award nomination for a part in the Halifax-set Canadian TV movie “Pit Pony,” which eventually spun off into a two-season series.After a few other scattered television parts, his feature film debut came three years later, and was the first of several emotionally weighty roles that the thesp tackled at a very young age.

EXCLUSIVE: MGM has found its leads for the forthcoming Dark Harvest feature adaptation that is based on Norman Partridge’s 2007 Bram Stoker Award-wining novel of the same name. Casey Likes, who recurred in the Facebook Watch series, The Birch and Fargo actress E’myri Crutchfield will star in the horror film, which is being directed by David Slade.

EXCLUSIVE: HBO Max has opted not to proceed with Red Bird Lane, its drama pilot starring Susan Sarandon.

Six more characters are coming to the pilot for HBO Max’s psychological thriller Red Bird Lane. Crispin Glover will join the cast a series regular and James Urbaniak, Jamie Clayton, Rya Kihlstedt and Grantham Coleman will appear as recurring. Damon Dayoub will guest star.

HBO Max didn’t really blow minds with its original programming at launch. Sure, the addition of classic movies, the Studio Ghibli catalog and classic cartoons is all well and good, but we didn’t see an extensive slate of original shows except for “Raised by Wolves,” but that may change soon.

Nellie Andreeva, Alexandra Del Rosario HBO Max has assembled the cast for its YA drama pilot Red Bird Lane, from John Wells Prods. It will be led by Oscar winner Susan Sarandon, with Kiersey Clemons, Isidora Goreshter, Danny Huston, Ash Santos, Fiona Dourif, Dizzie Harris and Tara Lynne Barr also starring.Red Bird Lane, written by Sara Gran and directed by David Slade, is a psychological thriller that follows eight strangers who arrive at an isolate house, all for different reasons.

A loose adaptation of Annie Proulx’s novel, “Barkskins” is a unique beast even in the era of Peak TV. Executive Produced by film and broadway uber-producer Scott Rudin, it was created and written primarily by Elwood Reed whose previous work (“The Chi,” “The Bridge,” “Hawaii Five-O”) don’t necessarily scream 17th century period piece set in the French Canadian wilderness.
