A man is in police custody after he moved out of the queue of mourners and approached the Queen’s coffin in Westminster Hall on Friday night.The man was quickly brought down by the police in the hall. Metropolitan Police said the incident occurred around 10pm, as the live feed from inside the hall cut away for a brief period.

Extended members of the Queen’s family were seen at the Prince’s Vigil held at Westminster Hall this evening, Friday 16 September.The late monarch has been Lying-in-State in London since Wednesday and thousands of mourners have filed past to pay their final respects after queuing for hours. Her Majesty the Queen’s four children came together for the sombre affair as they mounted guard at the four corners of the catafalque for 15 minutes. All were in military uniform including Prince Andrew – who was stripped of his military titles last year – and Princess Anne, who the first woman to have taken part in the Vigil of the Princes.

Prince Edward and Countess Sophie were pictured greeting a large crowd who had gathered at Manchester's Central Library, where they arrived to see the Book of condolences.The royal couple chatted with as many members of the public they could as they were presented with bouquets of flowers in commiseration of the Queen's death.

Her Majesty's four children – King Charles III, 73, Princess Anne, 72, Prince Andrew, 62, and Prince Edward, 58 – all followed on foot behind her coffin in the procession. Princess Anne was the only female royal not in a vehicle, with Queen Consort Camilla and Sophie, Countess of Wessex both following behind in a car.

Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton did not join Prince Harry and Prince William on Thursday as they traveled to Scotland to be with Queen Elizabeth II amid health concerns. Prince William arrived at Balmoral Castle hours before the royal family announced the queen had died at the age of 96. He was accompanied by Prince Andrew; Sophie, Countess of Wessex; and Edward, Earl of Wessex.  Charles, now King Charles III; the new Queen Consort Camilla; and Princess Anne had already been by the Queen's side.

Shortly after Buckingham Palace confirmed that Queen Elizabeth II was under “medical supervision,” several of her family members rushed to her bedside.

Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex, were joined by their daughter Lady Louise for a visit of Windsor Castle, where members of the public had left messages, flowers, and other tributes in honour of Prince Philip, who passed away last Friday at age 99.
