Anti-LGBTQ protesters aren’t going to bring down Pride if the cast of “Heartstopper” have anything to say about it.

Netflix’s Heartstopper has added three to its Season 3 cast including Jonathan Bailey (Fellow Travelers, Bridgerton), Hayley Atwell (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, Captain America: The First Avenger) and Eddie Marsan (Back to Black, Ray Donovan). The show returns with 8 new episodes in October.

Heartstopper have reason to celebrate as the show officially enters production for its highly anticipated third season. The Netflix staple has been gaining viewers and recognition throughout the years, and now millions can’t wait for another string of stories from the title.The exciting announcement that season three is officially underway came directly from the creator of Heartstopper, Alice Oseman.

Vary Senior Entertainment Writer Netflix unveiled its first look at the highly anticipated second season of “Heartstopper,” the swoon-worthy high school coming-of-age romance that tracks the budding relationship between Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) and Nick Nelson (Kit Connor). During the streamer’s Tudum fan event on June 17, “Heartstopper” co-stars Corinna Brown and Kizzy Edgell — who play the couple Tara and Darcy on the series — introduced the first scene of Season 2, which picks up the morning after the Season 1 finale. In that episode, Charlie and Nick officially became boyfriends, and Nick came out as bisexual to his mother, Sarah (Olivia Colman).

Netflix has released a series of first-look images for Season 2 of its romantic drama “Heartstopper,” which stars Kit Connor and Joe Locke and is set to premiere on Aug. 3. The second season will spotlight Nick (Connor) and Charlie (Locke) as they navigate the waters of their new relationship. Netflix have today (April 24) confirmed when the new season of Heartstopper will arrive.Kit Connor and Joe Locke will return as friends turned lovers Nick and Charlie in the show’s second season, which will focus on their developing romance amid exams and plans for the end of year school prom.
