The Haunting of Bly Manor” are reuniting. The gang will get together again for a brand new terrifying project on Netflix. This time around, filmmaker Mike Flanagan is adapting one of Edgar Allan Poe’s gothic horrors, “The Fall of the House of Usher.”Fans who wanted “The Haunting” series’ will recognize many cast members including Kate Siegel, Rahul Kohli, Carla Gugino, Samantha Sloyan, T’Nia Miller, Henry Thomas, and Annabeth Gish.

“The Fall of the House of Usher,” an eight-episode limited series from Mike Flanagan based on the writings of Edgar Allan Poe, will launch on Netflix on Thursday, October 12.

Mike Flanagan has had a good run of horror projects with Netflix, adapting stories from literary greats like Stephen King, Shirley Jackson, Christopher Pike and Henry James. And he’s also done original limited series like 2021’s “Midnight Mass,” too (although that one wears its King influence proudly).

Netflix has slated Thursday, October 12, for the premiere of The Fall of the House of Usher, its eight-episode limited series from Mike Flanagan based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe. The streamer also released some of the first images of the series, which you can see above and below.

The film, which was notable at the time for being Snyder’s first original concept, stars Emily Browning as Babydoll, a young woman committed to a mental institution whose fantastical imagination creates a dream heist for her to escape imprisonment.

Snyder’s dark and operatic take on Alan Moore’s graphic novel proved divisive, as the film didn’t even make it past $200 million at the worldwide box office. Wilson revealed “Watchmen” is “the only movie of mine that I have watched front to back since a premiere,” adding, ‘That movie is awesome.” “I just wanted to look at it as an older guy, as a filmmaker,” Wilson added. “I knew Zack was ahead of the curve. It’s weird to say that audiences weren’t ready for it. But you need a movie like that. You need movies to go so dark that then ‘Avengers’ can go so light. I do believe in that…I’d love to do that movie now. It would be so awesome to just do it now.”

Patrick Wilson is looking back at Watchmen and praising director Zack Snyder for being “ahead of the curve,” which he says ultimately led the way for films like The Avengers.

Langella, 84, was the subject of the completed investigation, production sources told Deadline.TMZ reported earlier this week that Langella, who starred as Roderick Usher in the series, had been accused of inappropriate sexual behavior on set.
