Later this month on Disney+, we’ll get our latest live-action “Star Wars” fix with Ewan McGregor reprising his Jedi knight character in “Obi-Wan Kenobi” who hasn’t appeared since 2005’s “Star Wars: Revenge of The Sith.” The show features prequel characters such as Hayden Christensen‘s Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, Joel Edgerton‘s Uncle Owen, and Bonnie Piesse‘s Aunt Beru.

Star Wars composer John Williams has returned to write a theme for upcoming Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi.According to Variety, Williams has written the musical signature for the series and recorded it last week with a Los Angeles orchestra under tight security.This is the first time Williams has composed a theme for the franchise since Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker in 2019. He’s composed the score for every mainline film in the franchise, but this marks a rare occasion where he’s writing music for television.It’s unclear if Williams has contributed any additional music beyond the theme for Obi-Wan Kenobi.Obi-Wan Kenobi, a limited Original series, starts streaming May 25 on @DisneyPlus.

After numerous delays and tons of fan speculation, it appears that Lucasfilm is ready to begin production on the long-awaited “Star Wars” live-action series, “Obi-Wan Kenobi.” And with production scheduled to begin in April, the studio is ready to pull back the curtain and unveil the ensemble cast that will help bring the prequel series to life.
