The new Obi-Wan Kenobi series is now streaming on Disney+ and a surprise red carpet premiere took place at the Star Wars Celebration fan event!
Ewan McGregor, who is reprising the title role in the new show, was joined by wife Mary Elizabeth Winstead at the premiere on Thursday (May 26) in Anaheim, Calif.
This is the couple’s first public appearance together since getting married last month!
Joining Ewan at the event were co-stars Hayden Christensen, Moses Ingram, Bonnie Piesse, Rupert Friend, Indira Varma, O’Shea Jackson Jr., and Simone Kessell, as well as director/executive producer Deborah Chow and executive producer Joby Harold.
Obi-Wan Kenobi begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
The first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi are now streaming on Disney+. Following the premiere, the series will stream weekly on Wednesdays, until the finale on Wednesday, June 22.
