The soundtrack for the upcoming Greta Gerwig-directed ‘Barbie’ movie has been announced, with Lizzo, Haim, Charli XCX and Tame Impala among the artists who have contributed new music. Out now is new Dua Lipa track ‘Dance The Night’.Executive produced by Mark Ronson, the album is also set to feature contributions from Ryan Gosling – who stars as Ken in the movie – plus Nicki Minaj, Khalid, PinkPantheress, The Kid Laroi, Ava Max, Ice Spice, Dominic Fike, Fifty Fifty, Gayle, Kali, Karol G, Aldo Ranks and two more names still to be announced.Aqua’s 1997 song ‘Barbie World’ is set to appear on the soundtrack as well, although it’s a new version performed by Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice.

Thania Garcia Dua Lipa has shared the first single off the incoming “Barbie” soundtrack: a slick, disco-pop number titled “Dance The Night.” The track was released alongside a playful, and perfectly pink music video featuring clips of the movie and a cameo from director Greta Gerwig. As a bonafide synth-pop hitmaker, Dua pulls retro-futuristic inspiration from her last record “Future Nostalgia” to craft the disco delight of “Dance The Night.” “Baby you can find me under the lights / Diamonds under my eyes,” Dua sings in the first few lines of the song. In the matching music video, Dua shows up on set and is shocked to see the giant disco ball that Gerwig ordered for the video has been accidentally destroyed.

The artists set to be included on Barbie: The Album, the original soundtrack to 2023 summer blockbuster Barbie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, have been revealed.

“Barbie” movie couldn’t be higher, soundtrack details for the film were announced on Thursday and this thing is stacked. In addition to the previously announced Dua Lipa, the soundtrack will also feature songs by Lizzo, Nicki Minaj, Haim, Ava Max, Charlie XCX, Dominic Fike, Fifty Fifty, Gayle, Ice Spice, Kali, Karol G, Khalid, Pink Pantheress, Tame Impala and The Kid Laroi.And even more artists will be announced at a later date.

Elsewhere, Primal Scream, Ava Max, Kevin Morby, Kurt Vile & The Violators, King Princess, STONE, and more have also been confirmed to perform.The festival also boasts a wealth of Spanish talent, including the likes of Dora, Walls, Sia Lua, Ghouljaboy, PETTI, and Ralphie Choo.Nine winners from the festival’s Mad Cool DJ Talent by Vibra Mahou will also perform across the three-day event.

Thania Garcia Brandon Davis and Jeff Levin have been re-upped to executive vice presidents and co-heads of pop A&R for Atlantic Records‘ Warner Music imprint; both will be based in Los Angeles, and report to Atlantic President of A&R, Pete Ganbarg. “Both Brandon and Jeff have worked at Atlantic their entire professional lives, rising from entry-level intern and assistant positions to become an integral part of the leadership of our A&R team,” commented Ganbarg. “I couldn’t be happier for them and am thrilled to recognize their contributions with these well-deserved promotions.” Previously, the pair of execs held positions as senior VPs of A&R. Davis joined Atlantic 11 years ago as an assistant in the A&R department, and Levin joined in 2010 and has since A&R’d a wide range of WMG artists. His signings include Melanie Martinez (“Cry Baby”), Ben Platt’s debut album and signed Oliver Tree. Greenwald and Craig Kallman will continue to jointly lead Atlantic Records, with Kallman continuing as chairman & CEO. Late last year, the company launched 300 Elektra Entertainment with Kevin Liles as chairman-CEO, merging the two labels as part of Atlantic parent Warner Music’s acquisition of 300 Entertainment.
