The Disney+ film stars Kylie Cantrall as Red, princess of the hostile kingdom of Wonderland and the newest Villain Kid (aka VK) at Auradon Prep. When her mother, the tyrannical Queen of Hearts (Rita Ora), incites a coup against Auradon, Red must join forces with Chloe (Cinderella and King Charming’s daughter played by Malia Baker) to travel back in time and undo the traumatic event that set the queen down her villainous path.

EXCLUSIVE: Alex Boniello (Jessica Jones) has been cast as Jack of Diamonds in the Disney+ original movie Descendants: The Rise of Red (formerly known as The Pocketwatch), the latest installment in Disney Branded Television’s Descendants franchise.

ET spoke with the stars of the beloved 1997 film, , on the set of Disney's in which they're reprising their iconic roles as Cinderella and Prince Christopher, all grown up. Disney announced Brandy's return as Cinderella back in November, but the studio really brought it home for fans when they announced that Paolo was joining her. The lead duo will return to their royal roots as King and Queen, with their onscreen daughter, Chloe Charming, played by Malia Baker.In Cinderella and King Charming's perfectionist daughter, Chloe, joins forces with Red (Kylie Cantrall), the rebellious daughter of the Queen of Hearts (Rita Ora).

Charming is now king, and Cinderella is queen. Variety confirmed last November that Brandy boarded the “Descendants” movie as Cinderella. At the time, the movie musical had the working title of “The Pocketwatch.” The film centers on the relationship between Red (Kylie Cantrall), the rebellious teenage daughter of the Queen of Hearts, and Chloe (Mia Baker), the cheerful but naive daughter of Cinderella and Prince Charming. The two must travel back in time to prevent the destruction of their home, the kingdom of Auradon.
