“Blue Beetle” movie is finally here, as an ancient artifact “the scarab,” takes hold of Jaime Reyes and transforms the teenager into a superhero.The kicker is that Reyes’ “transformation” isn’t a solo affair as in most comic book origin stories, but he transforms into an armored superhero in front of his family, a Latino family nonetheless!Upon his transformation, the suit thrusts Reyes into the atmosphere and the teenager soars into space within seconds while he ponders his fate.“Cobra Kai” breakout and fan favorite Xolo Maridueña stars in the title role of Jaime Reyes in “Blue Beetle,” DC Studios’ first superhero movie centered on a Latino character. Maridueña previously said that “Blue Beetle” is a combination of both a DC and Marvel superhero.“He’s kind of like a fusion of Green Lantern and Iron Man,” Maridueña said.

What is happening with the current DCEU now that James Gunn is taking over and changing the entire direction of DC Studios? Well, there are four DCEU films still to be released this year, and one of them, “Shazam! Fury Of The Gods,” has already tanked. That likely means the end of that franchise.

The first poster for “Blue Beetle” was unveiled during DC Studios and Warner Bros. Discovery’s CCXP presentation Saturday in São Paulo, Brazil. The poster is reminiscent of the first teaser for countless comic book superhero films, from “Batman” in 1989 to “X-Men” in 2000 in that it’s entirely comprised of the title character(s)’ iconic logo.

So, serious question—do you guys know what the hell is going on with the “Transformers” film franchise? Because honestly, at this point, it seems like there’s a lot of projects in development but nothing that seems to point to where the franchise is headed. Well, it appears that we can add one more “Transformers” project from Paramount to the pile of projects that are being developed.

Years ago, DC Films and Warner Bros. unveiled an ambitious slate of films that were going to lay the groundwork for their DCEU franchise.

Puerto Rican director Ángel Manuel Soto stuck with his decision to bring on cinematographer Katelin Arizmendi for Sony’s “Charm City Kings” despite the studio’s desire for someone with more experience.

A gritty coming-of-age drama, Charm City Kings introduces viewers to a dirt bike scene where Baltimore’s young people have honed a sports-like showmanship and sense of community over the last 50 years. Directed by Angel Manuel Soto with a script from Sherman Payne and a story penned by Barry Jenkins, Chris Boyd and Kirk Sullivan, the film is based on the documentary 12 O’Clock Boys from director Lotfy Nathan.

“Charm City Kings,” directed by Angel Manuel Soto and written by Sherman Payne, is an earnest coming-of-age story about a Baltimore 14-year-old named Mouse (Jahi Di’Allo Winston) torn between joining the Midnight Clique, an extreme dirt bike crime gang in stormtrooper-esque shiny white breastplates, or becoming a veterinarian.

Sony Pictures Classics has shared the first teaser trailer for Angel Manuel Soto’s new film Charm City Kings. The movie stars Jahi Di’Allo Winston as a 14-year-old named Mouse who gets taken under the wing of a dirt biker named Blax, played by Meek Mill. Watch the trailer below.
