Hallmark Media is getting into the scripted podcast game and has launched it’s first-ever series called Crimson Hearts Collide.

Robinson; Ron Howard executive produces an improv workplace comedy with iHeart; Audible and the Obamas’ Higher Ground launch “Your Mama’s Kitchen,” in which guests tell host Michele Norris about… their mama’s kitchen; ex-UTA agent Jed Baker launched kids and family podcast network Starglow Media; and more.

Hallmark Media today is entering the scripted podcast space with the new original podcast series Crimson Hearts Collide, a romance-mystery from the company’s Mahogany content initiative.

Todd Spangler NY Digital Editor YouTube’s popular “Tab Time” preschool series is coming back for Season 2, starring “America’s mom” Tabitha Brown — alongside celebrity guests including Liza Koshy, Terry Crews and Tamron Hall. The hybrid live-action/animated series, one of YouTube’s marquee kids originals, is hosted by Brown, an actor, vegan foodie, author and mother. Brown, or “Ms. Tab” as the kids call her, brings her skills as a cook, storyteller, mom, and motivational leader to teach children how to live their best life. YouTube’s renewal of the show for Season 2, from from Kids at Play and Scale Productions, was announced earlier this year. While YouTube has largely scrapped scripted original productions, it has maintained a slate of kids and family originals, select documentaries and programming through the YouTube Black Voices fund.

Meghan Markle's "Archetypes" podcast is set return to Spotify with new episodes on Oct. 4, after a four-week hiatus following Queen Elizabeth II's death on Sept. 8, and a royal expert is weighing in on what royal watchers will be looking out for from Markle's upcoming guests.  The new episodes will feature guests Lisa Ling, Margaret Cho, Constance Wu, Issa Rae, Ziwe Fumudoh, Amanda Seales, Allison Yarrow, and Robin Thede.

The actor, model, activist and self-proclaimed “music nerd” — best known for starring on “Black-ish” and “Grown-ish” — stars in and executive produces Facebook Watch original series “Yara Shahidi’s Day Off.” In each episode, Shahidi will participate in a range of activities with her celeb guests that reflect “their authentic interests outside of their fame,” spanning horseback riding, gymnastics, golfing, soccer and game night. “Yara Shahidi’s Day Off” premieres Thursday, Sept. 29, at 9 a.m. PT, on Facebook Watch, Shahidi’s Facebook page (2.2 million followers) and her Instagram page (7.6 million followers).

Todd Spangler NY Digital Editor Meghan Markle continued her reign atop Spotify’s podcast charts worldwide for the second week in a row, as the Duchess of Sussex’s “Archetypes” continues to attract a robust listenership. As of Friday, “Archetypes” ranked as the No. 1 podcast on Spotify in seven countries: the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, India, Australia, and New Zealand. It shot to the top of the charts soon after premiering Aug. 23 with featured guest Serena Williams, who recently announced plans to retire from pro tennis. The weekly show, hosted and executive produced by Markle, aims to “dissect, explore and subvert the labels that try to hold women back,” as she put it in the trailer for the series. “Archetypes” is available exclusively on Spotify.

Ellie Kemper and Zach Cherry have signed on to co-host the Roku Original series “The Great American Baking Show.” Kemper and Cherry will take audiences into the iconic tent to watch contestants vying to become the America’s top baker.A U.S. adaptation of the popular British competition series “The Great British Baking Show,” the new show will feature six 60-minute episodes and will premiere in 2023.

The original hosts included actor Tamera Mowry-Housley, stylist Jeannie Mai, singer Tamar Braxton and singer an actress Loni Love.“The Real” underwent several changes throughout its run.

Loni Love has spoken out amidst reports that The Real is about to be canceled after eight seasons. “It’s been a busy few days but I got a call from the studio.. no official decision has been made about #TheReal,” the comedian and actress, 50, wrote on Twitter March 13. “I will be ok but please give grace to the 150 crew members this may affect… we will finish Season 8 and wait for official word,” she added.
