EXCLUSIVE: Amanda Seales has landed her next gig, signing on as host of Amanda Seales’ Smart Funny & Black Radio on Kevin Hart’s Laugh Out Loud Radio channel. The weekly hourlong program will kick off Monday, April 18 at 10 a.m. ET on SiriusXM.
Seales will co-host the show with Taj Rani, a producer at Seales’ Smart Funny & Black Productions; and JeremiahLikeTheBible. The trio will kick off the week each Monday with conversations, games, celebrity interviews and commentary on Black culture and other topical issues.
It’s a SiriusXM reunion of sorts for Seals, who hosted Breakfast at Diva’s on the satellite radio network’s Hip Hop Nation from 2003-2007. Since then, she played Tiffany DuBois on HBO’s Insecure and had a stint as a co-host of the syndicated talk show The Real. She also headlined her own HBO stand-up special I Be Knowin.
She is also the creator/host of the live music/game show Smart Funny & Black and hosts the podcast Small Doses.
“After so many years away, I’m so hyped to be coming back to radio!” said Seales. “Smart Funny & Black began as a live show and since its inception has become so much more. Laugh Out Loud Radio features stand-up comedy curated by Hart, along with voices and specials from the Laugh Out Loud catalog.

As studios meet in Las Vegas to present footage of there upcoming slates to exhibitors, Netflix is showcasing there own slate of future feature films as it has unveiled its upcoming summer slate of original movies. Some of the films receiving new release dates include the Vampire thriller Day Shift starring Jamie Foxx, which is set to bow on August 12, the Kevin Hart-Mark Wahlberg comedy Me Time, bowing on Aug. 26 and the Dakota Johnson drama Persuasion, bowing July 15. The streamer also confirmed dates of some highly-anticipated films that had previously been announced like the Adam Sandler sports pic Hustle, which bows on June 8, the Chris Hemsworth-Miles Teller Thriller Spiderhead, which bows on June 17 and most recently the The Russo Brothers next film The Gray Man, starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans, which will premiere on July 22.

Lionsgate and The Roku Channel have closed a multiyear theatrical output deal for theatrically released Lionsgate films beginning with the studio’s 2022 theatrical releases, the companies announced on Tuesday.Under the terms of the agreement, The Roku Channel will receive two separate windows for each film, the first of which provides exclusive rights to Lionsgate’s film slate immediately following its first window on Starz.The agreement will include properties such as the “John Wick” action franchise, “Expendables 4,” and Eli Roth’s “Borderlands,” starring Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jamie Lee Curtis and Jack Black.Also on the Roster, Kelly Fremon Craig’s “Are You There God? Lionsgate and Roku have struck a deal giving the studio’s feature films an exclusive streaming run on the free, ad-supported Roku Channel after they play on Starz.
Kevin Hart announced on Tuesday he is merging his Laugh Out Loud and HartBeat Productions to form HartBeat, a global, multi-platform media company. HartBeat launches with a $100M investment from private equity firm Abry Partners, which took a minority investment in the new company. As part of the deal, Abry Partners partner Nicolas Massard will be joining the HartBeat board.
