Perrie Edwards was just a teenager when she auditioned on the X Factor. Now, the 30 year old is about to embark on a solo career after being part of one of the best selling girl groups of all time.
Alongside Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, the then 17-year-old was put into the girl group Little Mix on 2011's edition of the X Factor. Mentored by former N Dubz star Tulisa Constavlos, the band went on to be the first group to win the competition.
Little Mix released six studio albums, with 2016's Glory Days landing at number one in the UK charts. Their chart-topping singles over the years have included Cannonball, Wings, Black Magic and Shoutout To My Ex and Sweet Melody. Jesse Nelson left the group in 2020 after the release of the band's final album.

Now, three years after Little Mix went on hiatus, Perrie is releasing music solo. Her debut single, Don't Forget About Us, was co-written by Ed Sheeran and dropped on Friday April 12. The singer is appearing on Saturday night's The Jonathan Ross Show (April 13) to chat all about her new tunes.
Record-breaking BRIT award winner Raye was also enlisted to work on the upcoming album. Perrie told NME of her new music: “What I wanted to make sure of was that every song [from] a different genre had a sister or sibling on the album, so it’s not completely mismatched. It makes sense when you listen to it as a body of work.”
