Pep Guardiola said Rodri will be fine to play against Real Madrid in the Champions League despite appearing to limp out of their Premier League win over Everton.
Rodri has played more than any other City player this season with Guardiola picking him almost every week to play the crucial holding midfield role. He was selected again at Goodison Park as one of seven who kept their place in the team after a difficult match in Madrid. Towards the end of the game he seemed to hurt his knee, and while he carried on for a few minutes he was then substituted as Kalvin Phillips came on to take his place.
With the second leg of their Champions League semi-final up on Wednesday, City fans were left wondering whether there was any risk of the ever-present midfielder being a risk for their second showdown with Real. However, Guardiola indicated after the game that the player will be fine; "He will be okay on Wednesday," he said.

The only other injury concern for City is Nathan Ake, who was absent again at Goodison after missing the Champions League game in Madrid with an injury he picked up against Leeds last week. Guardiola said on Friday that the player was feeling much better, but he could miss out again on Wednesday if he cannot recover in time.
