Recreational drug users have been ‘microdosing’ psychedelics to improve their mental health during the pandemic, a new survey has found.
Researchers say the findings may indicate that some people with mental health issues gain ‘significant relief’ from microdosing psychedelics such as LSD and magic mushrooms.
However they warned that suddenly stopping psychiatric medications can lead to worsening of mental health and withdrawal and should not be done without medical supervision.
