BBC Studios, Sky Deutschland Strike Factual Content Output Deal for Germany

Naman Ramachandran BBC Studios and Sky Deutschland have agreed an output deal for factual content in Germany.The long-term partnership agreement will see Sky Deutschland as the pay TV home for BBC Studios premium factual content in Germany, which will include 150 hours of factual titles from the BBC Studios catalogue. The factual output from BBC Studios can be seen on Sky Deutschland’s Sky Nature and Sky Documentaries channels.BBC Studios titles acquired under the deal include “Greta Thunberg A Year to Change the World,” “Louis Theroux: Shooting Joe Exotic,” “David Attenborough: The Sound of Nature” and “Primates.” In 2019, BBC Studios signed a partnership with Germany’s ZDF to produce factual shows, which includes the upcoming “Green Planet” presented by David Attenborough, alongside co-developing scripted TV series.

Code Orange have dropped a visually stunning concert film titled Back Inside The Glass, which the hardcore outfit initially premiered as a ticketed livestream event.The one-off gig went down in October of 2020, streamed live – in VR, no less – from the Preserving Underground Church in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. It was particularly notable for its immersive and cinematic visuals, with the band performing to a fave-camera setup on an entirely projection-mapped stage.The show saw Code Orange perform over half of their fourth album, ‘Underneath’ – they’d released it in March of 2020, but couldn’t perform it to a proper crowd until 2021 thanks to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Elsa Keslassy International CorrespondentThe relentless 15-year hunt for Adolf Eichmann, the notorious high-ranking Nazi criminal who fled Germany at the end of WW2 and hid in Argentina with his family, will be charted in a thriller series by Rose Bosch (“1492: Conquest of Paradise,” “The Roundup”).Titled “The Capture,” the six-part English-language series is being produced by Marc Missonnier and Christine de Bourbon-Busset at Lincoln TV, the Paris-based banner behind “Mirages” and “Cheyenne & Lola.” The script is now completed and the veteran producers are getting ready to introduce the project to potential partners, including broadcasters and streamers.Bosch, a former investigative journalist who is passionate about history, previously wrote the script of Ridley Scott’s Christopher Columbus film “1492: Conquest of Paradise,” as well as penned and directed “The Roundup” which depicted the infamous Vel’ d’Hiv Roundup (Rafle du Vel’ d’Hiv) in Paris.
