Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf closes indoor dining, gyms as part of tightened coronavirus restrictions

A man accused of shooting a Pennsylvania police officer last week while handcuffed was captured Tuesday in a neighboring state following a manhunt that involved multiple law enforcement agencies.  Koby Francis, 22, was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals at a Clarksburg, W. Va., apartment complex, the Allegheny County Police Department said in a news release.

Nearly 40 Pennsylvania restaurants have been ordered to shut down after defying a mandate by Gov.Tom Wolf temporarily banning indoor dining because of the coronavirus pandemic, a report said. The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture announced the restaurants would be closed for allowing patrons to eat indoors, in violation of Wolf’s order from about two weeks ago, PennLive.com reported Thursday.

Authorities in McKeesport, Pa., released the surveillance footage that they say shows a handcuffed suspect open fire on a police officer shortly after his arrest. Koby Francis, the 22-year-old suspect, has been on the run since the Sunday shooting, which occurred at 4 p.m., police said.

Cheri Lyons, a server and bartender at Greystone Public House in Harrisburg, Pa., was working Friday night when a group of customers left her a $500 tip.  "It just really touched my heart that people realize what we’re going through," Lyons told WHTM.  "They told me 'Merry Christmas, keep your head up,'"  she added.

Pennsylvania Gov.Tom Wolf has tested positive for coronavirus and is quarantining at home with his wife as she awaits results from a test of her own. “During a routine test yesterday, I tested positive for COVID-19,” the governor tweeted Wednesday.
