Pearl Jam has postponed the first leg of their 2020 tour, which was scheduled to kick off March 18 in Toronto, amid concerns over the coronavirus.
Frontman Eddie Vedder made the announcement Monday.
“We’ve been hit hard and have witnessed firsthand how quickly these disastrous situations can escalate,” Vedder wrote, acknowledging the recent coronavirus outbreak at a Seattle nursing home. “It’s been brutal and it’s gonna get worse before it gets better.”
