PC Music announce new compilation with Charli XCX, Clairo and Caroline Polachek

Charli XCX has shared the deluxe version of new album ‘Crash’, which features four additional tracks.The expanded edition of Charli’s fifth album takes its tracklist to 16 songs, with the inclusion of ‘Selfish Girl’, ‘How Can I Not Know What I Need Right Now’, ‘Sorry If I Hurt You’ and ‘What You Think About Me’.Production on the four new tracks is handled by George Daniel, Lotus IV, Deaton Chris Anthony and A.G. Cook, each of whom contributed to production on the original version of ‘Crash’.

Jem Aswad Senior Music EditorVeteran dance music executive Patrick Moxey has announced details of his new label group and has signed a new, worldwide deal for two key record labels with Warner Recorded Music.The agreement, which encompasses the legendary Payday Records and the newly created Helix Records, will see Warner Recorded Music handling global digital distribution via its independent services arm ADA Worldwide, and includes the option for the parties to co-sign new repertoire.The move comes just weeks after Moxey left Ultra, the label he founded during the 1990s, and Sony Music.Helix Records, the group’s new flagship electronic dance music label, which was officially launched this week at Miami Music Week, has already signed several artists, including electronic duo Snakehips, British-Australian band AR/CO, legendary house dj/producer Marshall Jefferson, and tech house maven DJ Susan. Helix and Payday Records have offices in Los Angeles, New York, and London with 36-member team covering marketing and promotions in Canada, Sweden, Germany, France, and Australia.

Speaking about the record, which was produced by the band and recorded in LA and London, frontman Matt Bellamy explained in a statement that it is “influenced by the increasing uncertainty and instability in the world”.“A pandemic, new wars in Europe, massive protests and riots, an attempted insurrection, Western democracy wavering, rising authoritarianism, wildfires and natural disasters and the destabilisation of the global order all informed ‘Will Of The People’,” the guitarist said.“It has been a worrying and scary time for all of us as the Western empire and the natural world, which have cradled us for so long are genuinely threatened.

Yesterday, Charli XCX released "Every Rule," another new song from the pop artist's upcoming album Crash, out this Friday. In contrast to the album's other supercharged singles, "Every Rule" is a crisp and stripped-down synth ballad about the perils and passions of adultery.
