"I think Trump’s un-electability will be palpable by then," Ryan said. "We all know he will lose, or let me put it this way: we all know he’s much more likely to lose the White House than anybody else running for president on our side of the aisle.
So why would we want to go with that?" The former congressman explained that the only reason Trump "stays where he is, is because everybody is afraid of him," referring to Republicans. "They’re afraid of him going after them, hurting their own ambition." (AP/Reuters) Ryan predicted that any Republican electing to challenge Trump in the GOP primary is likely to be patient in announcing a bid for the White House. "I think people will delay their decisions, and they’ll wait for somebody else to take the first plunge to take the ire of Trump, to have him go after that person and try and hurt them with MAGA voters, so then they can follow behind," Ryan said. "So, it’s kind of a prisoner’s dilemma," he continued.

you a man who will commit securities fraud for you! Are you kidding?”Joking somewhat aside — it is Trevor Noah after all — the late night host noted that giving your wife shares in your company is “a weird gift,” noting that it sounds more like Trump forgot Melania’s birthday and was scrambling to find something to give her at the last minute.“The funny thing is, Truth Social is such a failure of a company, that she probably didn’t even want the shares, you know?” Noah said. “It’s almost like when your kids give you that gift, but it’s just like a piece of macaroni art for your birthday.
Even Donald Trump has had enough of Kanye West.
Former President Donald Trump took to TRUTH Social Sunday to endorse Republican Rep. Lee Zeldin in what’s now being considered a toss off election to dethrone Democrat New York Gov. Kathy Hochul.
The January 6th Committee’s proceedings this week may have been its final chance to deliver a closing argument about Donald Trump’s culpability in the attack on the Capitol, and it did so by once again exceeding expectations.
New footage from January 6, 2021, shows a candid moment where House Speaker Nancy Pelosi threatened to physically strike then-President Trump, should he have joined those protesting at the Capitol. In the video, which was publicly shared Thursday, Pelosi admits the actions could have resulted in her going to prison — a consequence she said she would "be happy" to accept. "I hope he comes, I’m going to punch him out," Pelosi tells her Chief of Staff Terri McCullough, who discourages her boss from making the comments.

Stephen Colbert thinks Ohio senate candidate JD Vance might have some serious competition — but not so much in his bid to become senator. No, Colbert joked on Tuesday night’s “Late Show” that Vance will have to edge out Lindsey Graham if he truly wants to suck up to Donald Trump. With midterm elections just four weeks away, Colbert opted to use part of his monologue to check in on some of the races (including a race between bears, one of which is apparently named for him).
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has become a top surrogate for former President Donald Trump this election cycle, raising speculation the Georgia Republican could be on the short list to be his running mate in 2024. Greene, who was first elected to Congress in 2020, rose to national attention by embracing issues and causes shunned by some Republicans for fear of controversy. The strategy has made Greene a pariah among Democrats, who voted last year to strip her of committee assignments in the House, but popular among the Make America Great Again contingent of Republicans.
“Stevie, stick to writing fascist speeches,” Law & Order: Organized Crime star Christopher Meloni wrote to former Trump White House Director of Speechwriting Stephen Miller today on Twitter. Earlier Miller, who allegedly helped write Donald Trump’s Jan. 6 speech, had called the actor “the guy with the most unwatchable Law & Order spin-off” and “a very angry — and very ignorant — far-left ideologue” for making fun of Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO).
Zack Sharf Christopher Meloni and former Donald Trump advisor and speechwriter Stephen Miller engaged in a war of words on Twitter that ended with the “Law & Order” favorite telling Miller, “Stick to writing fascist speeches.” It all started when Meloni reacted to Lauren Boebert’s latest “Let’s go Brandon!” post. The phrase is commonly used in Republican circles as an insult to Joe Biden. As the Associated Press reported in 2021, the term is “conservative code for something far more vulgar: ‘Fuck Joe Biden.'” “There’s gotta be a Stupid Prize gop reps are competing for,” Meloni tweeted at Boebert, a Republican gun activist who serves as the U.S. representative for Colorado’s 3rd congressional district. Boebert once wore a dress with “Let’s go Brandon” printed on it and posed with Trump for a photo.
Donald Trump is once again mad at the media. This time, the twice-impeached former president is complaining that no one celebrates just how large the crowd of his supporters was during the Jan.
