AS Monaco's sporting director Paul Mitchell is reportedly set to leave the club after they lost to Braga in the Europa League.
L'Equipe reports that Monaco's club president Dmitry Rybolovlev is ready to part company with Mitchell but it is unclear at this stage when he will be leaving the club. Back in February, Mitchell was spotted at Old Trafford alongside his good friend Ralf Rangnick watching Manchester United's U18s in FA Youth Cup action.
Earlier this week Mitchell spoke about whether his friendship with Rangnick would lead to him joining United at some stage in the future. The 40-year-old was quick to quash those rumours though.

He told Monaco-Matin about his recent visit to Manchester: "No, it’s just that I grew up there and so did my wife. My accent comes from there.
"A part of our family is based there, and my daughter has just bought her first house. I therefore go back there when I can.
"I’m proud to come from there. I will admit that every time I return, Ralf asks me to come for a coffee.
"We’re friends, close ones. We worked a lot together.
"We had success at Leipzig and travelled around the world. I had two free hours that day and, before returning to Monaco, I went to see the Youth Cup game with him."
From 2018 to 2020, Mitchell was the head of recruitment and development at RB Leipzig where he met the current interim boss of the Reds. Apart from their close friendship, Mitchell insists that there is no truth to the rumours of him potentially joining Rangnick at Old Trafford.
