Comedy director Paul Byrne has passed away at the age of 45. Paul's agents confirmed the sad news in a statement, which read: "After a short illness we are extremely saddened to confirm Paul Byrne has passed away at 45." Paul worked on a number of shows and was called an "exceptional comedy director" by his agents.The director worked both on stage and screen and helped comics on ITV's Show Me The Funny and was said to be "intrinsic to the success of" Dara O Briain's Go 8 Bit. He also wrote for a number of shows on Radio 4.
Paul was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in 2013.The director's Mock The Week star brother Ed, 49, posted a photo of himself with his brother on his Twitter page to share a tribute. Comedian Ed wrote: "Paul Byrne was a lot of things to a lot of people. A talented comedy director and stand up fixer, he was loved by so many.
"But to me, he was my pain-in-the-a**e little brother and I will miss him so much. RIP Paul Byrne 1977-2022". Meanwhile, comedian Omid Djalili wrote: "Very sorry to hear of the passing of comedy director Paul Byrne and younger brother of @MrEdByrne - a very dear soul with whom I had many laughs at various Edinburgh festivals.
He was 45 years old." While Paul's former management tweeted: "We are all heartbroken by the passing of our good friend and client Paul Byrne. It was a privilege to have known Paul and we will cherish the time we got to spend in his company. He was an exceptional comedy director and helped craft some of the most boundary-pushing innovative and hilarious comedy shows of the last decade.

Biffy Clyro and Placebo have announced that they’ve pulled out of Moscow’s Park Live 2022 in light of the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.The annual festival – the purpose of which is to bring “pop-culture heroes of our time” to Russia – is due to take place at the Luzhniki Olympic Complex on June 16–19 and July 7–10/14-17.Biffy Clyro took to Instagram today (March 2) to announce that they will no longer be appearing at the festival.“Following the invasion of Ukraine, Biffy Clyro will no longer be appearing at Park Live festival in Moscow this Summer,” the band wrote, sharing an image of a Ukrainian flag. “Our thoughts and prayers are with all Ukrainian citizens and Russian people who desire peace.”A post shared by Biffy Clyro (@biffy_clyro)Placebo issued a statement on Twitter about their withdrawal.

Sally Kellerman has died at the age of 84, her son Jack Krane has announced. According to TMZ, the actress passed away in the early hours of Thursday 24 February at an assisted care facility in Los Angeles, California, after a battle with dementia. Sally is said to have been first diagnosed back in 2017 and hasn't been doing very well in the last few years.
